I recently purchased a forty year old Carl Zeiss 50mm Tessar lens for use on my little Olympus EP2 and this is one of the first batch of shots using it. With the crop factor on the M4/3 this fifty becomes a 100mm lens which focuses down to 350mm close enough to capture a lot of detail and yet still have that Tessar soft smooth render. Its quite a surprize for many to learn that this lovely quality can be had from a lens design that is over a hundred years old…
