Canon S70 f5 1/100s ISO100

The Canon S70 was the first digital P&S I owned and apart form the limit of ISO 400 its not a bad little camera. Unusually for the time it has an f2.8 lens which when used wide open has a reasonable bokeh at the longer end of the telephoto range and in the mid range it is needle sharp. Also unlike most of its contemporaries it has a viewfinder!!!  Shutter lag is about average for cameras of 2004. They can be  had on eBay  for as little as $65 a bargain by any standard…  This one is not for sale!

Garden gate near Parc Guell Barcelona

This unusual, almost eccentric garden gate separated a private garden from a path to an equally eccentric, make that fantastic public park designed by Antonio Gaudi. It was a wonderful thing that Goudi was allowed to let the product his imagination become reality. Some of the constructions are like drawings drawn in concrete and stone. Everyone who appreciates human created outdoor space should experience this park…
