This shot is a square crop slightly off centre from a portrait format frame. I was more interested in the visual aspect of the curving marble steps only when I had this framed an focused did I noticed this man sat on the ground. He was rocking slowly much like an elephant that has been too long captive in a zoo, however, I think this poor soul was captive in his own mind…

I like this image, as a result I just had to go back to it and get more out of it. In the previous version I masked the coloured wall then desaturated the stone work made it feel cold, as it was – cold as a witches kiss! This one is a HDR job it brings a bit of colour out of the stone which was more from the colour of the light at the time of day rather than the stone itself.
