Theatre shadows …

Being high summer and a very clear day the shadows have a steel ¬†edge to them it was 34 degrees and the pavement was radiating the heat back as much as the sun is pouring it down, my feet were hot. I have yet to go inside this building, the new centre for the performing arts, but I like the space and the shadows from outside. Perth, this well monied city on the edge of a vast open and empty land is beginning to have some interesting architecture. There are no Gehry’s or the like yet, it may well come if the desire for difference and the taste develops as fast as the growing fortunes, but for the time being it is still in the shadows…
